While there will always be mountains to move in our lives and, let’s be honest, if your in recovery, you have put many there all by yourself. That said, we always speak about keeping it “in the day” so the mountains don’t feel so big. While we don’t need to win every battle, we do need to be reminded of winning the war…just for today! If we don’t pick-up, remain honest, open and follow-through on suggestions, each day will likely be better than the one before. While we always want, what we want, when we want it….we must curb these cravings for instant gratification.

Mom always told us ” good things come to those who wait”. She was right, but what she didn’t tell us is that if we concentrate on what has been accomplished and follow those same behaviors than the YET to be accomplished items will take care of themselves. The only small print to that is it wouldn’t happen in your time but only when it’s supposed to happen. That’s the good part when you look back from high atop each mountain and appreciate what a great journey it’s been!
Apply this recipe every day and it will turn into weeks, months and years and do you know what we call this? A LIFE BEYOND YOUR WILDEST DREAMS!
So, the next time you go to measure success look into your heart and to those around you. No measuring stick needed!
